A number of the Lincoln Memorial Cents that were issued by the United States Mint in 1972 contained a pretty embarrassing inaccuracy. These coins were released in 1972.

The error coins had the words "Liberty" on the left and "1972" on the right of Abe's face printed twice. About 20,000 of these coins were made by mistake.

One of these mistake coins started at $1 on eBay.com but sold for $325 after 49 bids, according to The U.S. Sun in September 2021. The news site noted that this penny's tint may have made it more valuable.

A box of your favorite cereal may have contained this uncommon coin in early 2000.The U.S. Mint included a 2000 Lincoln penny inside 10 million boxes of Cheerios, 5,500 of which had the Sacagawea dollar.

Nevertheless, there were some of those dollars that were a little bit different from the usual type. On the reverse side of those dollars, there were increased eagle tail feathers.

DIY website Based on their grade, The Spruce Crafts says that only 60 to 70 of these coins have been found since then. They can sell for $5,000 to $25,000, though.
